House of ALTO LOMA
A house is known by its graces: how guests are welcomed, what is held close, what is passed on. These are ours.
ALTO LOMA means “high hill.” The name comes from the Andes, where alpacas have grazed Peru’s high grasslands for thousands of years, and where the light arrives early and leaves late. We believe luxury is lived, not labeled, so we make throw blankets from the softest fiber of each fleece, for homes where the good throw dwells on the sofa.
A Higher Standard
What makes ALTO LOMA different?
A high hill calls for a high standard. The collection is intimate by choice, and every design answers to the same test: it should look as beautiful in ten years as it does today, soften with use rather than wear, and be the first thing someone reaches for on a cold evening. If a piece can’t meet that standard, it doesn’t carry our name.
Shaped by Place
What inspires ELEMENTA by ALTO LOMA?
Our foundational collection takes its names and tones from Peru, from the salt terraces of Maras and the pale volcanic stone of sillar to sun-warmed clay, desert dunes, mountain stone, shadow and sky. Seven 100% baby alpaca throw blankets in quiet neutrals and one generous size, each designed to settle into a room and stay.

The Finest Fiber
Why baby alpaca?
Baby alpaca is a grade, not an age. It names the softest fiber from each fleece, about 22 microns, sorted by hand. It is lighter than wool, warmer for its weight, and naturally free of lanolin, so it rests easily against the skin. Each throw blanket is woven in Peru by a mill committed to fair wages and the artisan communities that sustain it.
Ready to Give
Does every throw blanket arrive gift-boxed?
Every ALTO LOMA throw blanket arrives in our Shadow Teal gift box with its copper foil logo, ready to give, with complimentary shipping. One size, nothing to fit. And if it isn’t quite right, our client services team is here to help.
Those are our graces: held close, passed on, and now offered to you. Welcome to the house. Come in, and feel the Andes woven into every throw blanket.
